NiCE IT Management Solutions GmbH, who has long been involved in the enterprise application monitoring market, announced the availability of the new NiCE Active Office 365 Management Pack, which enables complex synthetic, hybrid Microsoft Exchange Online monitoring. “We are excited to see companies like NiCE IT Management Solutions GmbH add value by integrating their Management Packs with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager and Office 365,” said Mike Ammerlaan, Director of Microsoft Office 365 Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp.
Microsoft Office 365 includes the use of Microsoft Office apps, storage, and services hosted on Microsoft Exchange Servers, Skype for Business Servers, SharePoint, and Office Online, among others. The NiCE Active O365 Management Pack allows users to monitor the many services and apps of Office 365. It also allows users to troubleshoot issues with mail, accessibility, or calendars across Exchange 2013/2016 and Exchange Online.

“More and more people” are moving “from on premise communication servers to Microsoft Office 365 in the cloud. I think our product can make this as easy as possible,” said Horst Nebenfuehr, CEO at NiCE.
Hybrid deployment monitoring aims to provide visibility into the hybrid infrastructure and its processes in the cloud. “The deep product integration with both Microsoft Office 365 and System Center allows system administrators to stay informed and resolve issues more efficiently in hybrid environments,” said Ammerlaan. Another new feature is synthetic transaction monitoring, which simulates standard user behavior to show performance of the monitored application.
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager is a multi-platform data monitoring system for operating systems and hypervisors. Its interface shows performance, state, and health data of computer systems. It generates alerts according to availability, performance, configuration, and security situation. System Center OM is expandable through importing management packs (MPs).
The NiCE Active Office 365 MP collects data about the Office 365 suite off of real-time, real user information. The hybrid method collects and processes data from Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange 2013/2016. The NiCE management pack generates reports on cloud adoption, mailbox migrations, and Office 365 license usage, offering end-to-end monitoring for Office 365 environments.
