EventEvolution Management Inc. is pleased to announce the recently completed DOCUMENT Strategy Forum, featuring the Social Business & SharePoint Conference and co-located with the BFMA Annual Conference, which took place April 29 – May 1st at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT, was the largest of record.
“We more than weathered the storm—or should I say hurricane—with the cancellation of our 2012 event due to Hurricane Sandy,” says Joel Dunkel, President, EventEvolution Management, Inc., producers of DOCUMENT Strategy Forum. “Instead of waiting a full year to produce the event again, we decided to move it to the spring and it turned out to be a good move,” Dunkel continued.
The Forum attracted 311 verified attendees and an additional 125 exhibitor personnel. Additionally, the exhibit floor was sold out two months prior to the event and featured 36 exhibitors including 13 first-timers. “This was our first time exhibiting at the DOCUMENT Strategy Forum, and it exceeded our expectations. We are very excited about attending next year!” explained Errett Thomas Jr., Director of Sales, Ecrion Software.
Combined, the three conferences offered attendees cross-over privileges to more than 70 sessions over a three-day period as well as a series of free Vendor Showcase Sessions that took place right on the exhibit floor. “You did an amazing job in organizing it and putting together the right mix of sessions to fully explore People, Process and Technology. I loved the amalgamation of DOCUMENT Strategy and SharePoint conferences with BFMA. It is great to attend a conference where the majority of attendees really get ‘process’ and how important it is to the success of a business and not just look to IT to find a solution to a problem,” said Merle Laird, Process Analyst, Minto Communities.
In addition to the general conference program, DOCUMENT Strategy Forum created the first-ever Analyst Day, which featured Craig Le Clair, Vice President & Principal Analyst, Forrester Research; Pete Basiliere, Research Director, Gartner; Tony Byrne, President, Real Story Group; and Chuck Johnston, Research Director, Celent. “These analysts are the key players in our market and were handpicked to cover a specific sector of the industry we serve. I could not have been more pleased with the results and the feedback we received and look forward to building on this next year,” explains Allison Lloyd, Conference Director, DOCUMENT Strategy Forum.
